Local merchants lose millions of dollars each year to dishonored checks, which affect everyone by increasing the cost of goods.
The County's Check Enforcement Program is free to all of the County's merchants, and includes assistance in recovering money lost; pursuit and prosecution of offenders; programs to reduce the number of dishonored checks; and education to offenders to avoid future dishonored checks.
