Upcoming COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics with Registration Links Announcing Tupper Lake Booster Clinic on December 30th
Franklin County Public Health will hold COVID-19 vaccination clinics in December. Please see schedule below for location, times and what ages will be served:

December 9th- Malone - Vax to School Clinic – 2pm-6pm at St. Andre’s Outreach Center, 12 Homestead Park.
For ages 12 and up, Pfizer first dose and booster dose. (Those who attended our 11/18 clinic were automatically registered for a second dose at this clinic.)
Drop-ins welcome, but will be limited according to how much vaccine we have on hand. Priority will be given to those who pre-register.

Those who register for this clinic will be automatically registered for a second dose on December 30th at Franklin County Public Health office in the Malone Courthouse from 9am-11am.

You must be 18 or older to receive a booster dose. Those who received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines should wait at least six months after their second dose before getting a booster. Those who received the single-dose Johnson & Johnson are eligible to get a booster two months after their initial dose.
You may choose which COVID-19 vaccine you receive as a booster shot. Some people may have a preference for the vaccine type that they originally received, and others may prefer to get a different booster. CDC’s recommendations now allow for this type of mix and match dosing for booster shots.

Pre-registration is highly recommended. Drop-ins welcome only if there is vaccine available.

Second dose clinics for 5-11 year-olds:
December 23rd - Malone – 4pm-7pm at St. Andre’s Outreach Center, 12 Homestead Park. This will be a second dose clinic only for those 5-11 year-olds who had first doses at our clinic on 12/2.
January 6th – Malone – 4pm-7pm at St. Andre’s Outreach Center, 12 Homestead Park.
This will be a second dose clinic only for those 5-11 year-olds who had first doses at our clinic on 12/16.

Transportation Assistance for Seniors
Below are three options available for those seniors (60 and older) needing transportation assistance to their vaccination appointments:
Option 1:
Franklin County Public Transportation is available for seniors on the Demand Runs within Malone, Tupper Lake, and Saranac Lake. The hours of operation of these service are as follows:
Malone: 8:00am to 4:00pm (Monday- Fridays)
Tupper Lake: 8:00am to 3:30pm (Mondays- Fridays)
Saranac Lake: 8:00am to 2:00pm (Mondays –Fridays)
This service can be utilized for transportation to and from pre-arranged Covid-19 vaccine appointments within those towns. There will be no fee charged for transportation services used to get the Covid-19 vaccination. Public Transportation requires a 24 hour notice to arrange transportation. Seniors can schedule these on demand appointments by calling 518-483-9000 (during business hours of 8:00am to 4:00pm).
Option 2
Seniors who have Medicaid can schedule transportation to a vaccine appointment by calling Franklin County Medicaid Transportation at 1-888-262-3975.
Option 3:
Seniors who do not have Medicaid, friends, neighbors, or family members to drive them to their vaccination appointments, please contact the Franklin County Office for the Aging at 518-481-1526 for assistance.
Medicaid Transport for Franklin County Residents:
If you have Medicaid and live in Franklin County, please call the Medical Answering Service (MAS) to request transportation at 1-844-666-6270. This number is for all Franklin County Medicaid recipients in need of transportation to and from doctor appointments.
A Medical Transportation Specialist for Franklin County will assist anyone who may need help scheduling transportation or who has any questions by calling 518-483-0934 Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.
