Notice to Public

December 22, 2020

Franklin County implores our community members to heed warnings to avoid travel over the holiday season. This will help control the spread of COVID-19, and save lives. If travel is unavoidable, we remind all residents of the travel guidance issued by the New York State Department of Health, which includes testing and quarantining upon return to New York. Go to https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/covid-19-travel-advisory for more information and to complete the Traveler Health form.

Franklin County Public Health recommends that residents stay home for the holidays and keep gatherings small. If gathering with people who do not live with you, gather outdoors as much as possible.  If you must gather indoors, wear a face covering and distance from others by 6 feet or more.  For the safest holiday experience, meet with others virtually using online platforms such as Zoom, Skype, or Facetime.
