The Data Processing Department provides assistance to all county departments with all aspects of Information Technology. This includes programming services, networking services, remote access, computer purchasing, phone services, data backup, and installation and support of  equipment and software. Data Processing serves various departments by entering, merging, and accumulating county data and preparing departmental reports.  On an organizational level, the Data Processing Department is responsible for the network infrastructure and security for all county buildings and assists with any technical aspects related to collaboration with local police and fire departments, organizations, and other county governments. Of particular focus for the department has been organizational security. This includes drafting the County Information Security Policy, as well as enforcing best practices for security county-wide.
