Description:
The Franklin County Auditor's Office is responsible for conducting a deliberate and thorough review of legal claims for payment, presented against the county by its vendors and contractors.
Audits of claim are then certified by submitting an abstract of payments to the Franklin County Treasurer's Office, which issues payment to claimants.
The auditing process is governed by the provisions of NYS General Municipal Law, Sections 103 and 104, as well as Franklin County's Purchasing and Travel Policies.
The Auditor's Office is located on the third floor of the county Court House, in Suite 313. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
