Description:
12/25/23 Christmas Day--all routes will be closed for the holiday. Dispatch/business office is also closed. 

11/13/23--As of this date, the Fort Covington Shuttle will be starting at 6:00 AM and ending at 2:00 PM. No intermediate stops will be affected.

8/19/22--Starting Sept. 1, 2022, Plattsburgh Commuter (Salerno) and Plattsburgh Commuter 2 (Mold-rite) runs have been combined into a single Plattsburgh Combined Commuter run. Please check the Documents section below for the new schedule.

Also starting Sept. 1, 2022, the new Plattsburgh Combined Commuter route and Adirondack route will operate 7 days a week, except Christmas.

All riders must have correct change or present bus pass at time of boarding and be at designated stops 5 minutes prior to departure time.  

7/25/22--Dispatch is now open from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM M-F with the last call taken at 3:45 PM. It is not open weekends.

6/27/22--Please check out our "Documents" section for the most up to date schedules. Just click on the small triangle to expand the section. Malone Shuttle and Tupper Lake Demand runs have been incorporated into other existing runs.

 

Please call Dispatch at 518-483-9000 for the most up to date information to make sure a run is active. Currently the Adirondack Evening and Tupper Demand routes are closed.
 

FRANKLIN COUNTY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION 

"Come Ride With Us"

Franklin County Public Transportation provides service to Northern and Southern Franklin County and parts of Lake Placid for your shopping, medical, employment, educational, and miscellaneous needs. We are sponsored by the County of Franklin, Division of Public Transportation and New York State Department of Transportation.

Northern Franklin County 

In the Northern part of Franklin County, bus service is provided within and between Chateaugay, Burke, Fort Covington, St. Regis Falls, Malone and surrounding communities.  Service operates from 6 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Shuttle service within the Malone community is available  Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. through 5:30 p.m.  There is NO service for the Northern routes on Saturday and Sunday.  All demand service and deviated pick-ups must be coordinated 24 hours in advance.  Please see the individual schedules in the "Documents" section for exact operational hours.

Southern Franklin County

In the Southern part of Franklin County, bus service is provided within Saranac Lake, Tupper Lake and into Lake Placid, located in Essex County.  Demand service in Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake is only available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.  All demand service and deviated pick-ups must be coordinated 24 hours in advance.  Please see the individual schedules in the "Documents" section for exact operational hours.

The Adirondack Route connects Northern and Southern Franklin County and provides valuable transportation into Lake Placid, located in Essex County.  This service operates between the northern and southern portions of the county.
